I signed up for the Resolution Run today. I've been talking about doing it for awhile now, finally I grabbed my credit card and signed up 2 minutes ago.
It's going to be at 6pm on December 31. I'm pumped. Although I have to say I'm a little worried since it's been so cold I haven't ran in 4 weeks.

#2 Run a 5K Race
It's done! And it felt great! I was a little worried because the running clinic was only up to 3.5km but that course was quite flat and the extra 1.5km was ok. Finish line was a great feeling. Run time was 35min, not bad for my first race and considering the old Esme who could barely make a 1k.

Race weekend
My 5K race is this Sunday. I'm excited. I heard running in a race is a different rush compared to regular running.
I haven't finished my 5K clinic yet. Right now we are running about 3.5km. However, I've been doing practice runs 3 times a week and I feel strong after each run so I'm pretty confident.

Race Sign up addiction
I feel I'm becoming obsessed with signing up for races. I was chatting with my coworker about the race I signed up for. He suggested I should do the Resolution Run, December 31, 6pm. I'm really tempted. Wouldn't that be a great way to start the New Year!?
Then my running clinic has a goal race (the race we are working towards) and everyone is encouraging me to join. And I really want to. I'm totally addicted. But I'm going to be sensible. I won't sign up for any more races until after I've finished my first 5K.

Running Log
I signed up for a 5K race in a few weeks. I figured it's about time I ran a race. To prepare and stay motivated I signed up with a a running clinic and I started keeping a running log. The clinic I signed up with has a web site and a page where I could log my runs. It spits out graphs based on what you like to see graphed. Great for motivating a visual person like me. Show me a bar graph of how long and how often I ran this week and I'd feel more accomplished.
